Should we build a culture dependent upon other people

Should we build a culture dependent upon other people

A few years ago I did a course from New York. It was a month long course with assignments every week. After every assignment we were informed whose assignment was done well.

And then came the end of the course where awards were given. I was hoping to win 🙈because my assignments did well but then the awards were given to people who helped others do really great assignments! And I was not one of them. It was an eye opener!

Since then I have noticed, in school, we get awarded for individual best performance. At workplace is the same, best employee, best idea etc. And then we preach collaboration and the importance of inter dependancy.

In today's #thankgoditsastorysaturday I make the same point. I have used the insight mentioned in this video to build many stories for my clients.

BTW Anna Kempf from my batch won the award and she totally deserved it ❤️!
