Eye on Vision Foundation - Visual Snow Syndrome

The Eye on Vision Foundation is working hard everyday to raise awareness for Visual Snow Syndrome in the medical field, as well as the general population.

Visual Snow Syndrome or (VSS), is a chronic, debilitating, and persistent neurological disease which affects a person’s vision, hearing, and brain function. The primary, and shared, symptom of VSS sufferers is Visual Snow. This resembles “TV static” and is seen as millions of moving and flashing dots over the entire visual field. This static is seen whether the eyes or opened or if they are closed.

A VSS sufferer’s vision, hearing and cognitive function is negatively impacted, sometimes severely, causing some to fall into a depressive state. Symptoms vary from one person to another, but can include constant static vision, tinnitus, floaters, afterimages, trails, derealization, blurred vision, glare, brain fog, light sensitivity and many others.

Medical researchers have discovered areas of the brain that are malfunctioning in patients with Visual Snow Syndrome. There is significant potential for groundbreaking treatments for patients with VSS. This could be absolutely life changing for so many people suffering from this rare disease.

There is a hurdle that must be overcome first. Researchers are struggling to find funding to keep their studies going, and to start new research.

We don’t have time to wait. We need funding to be able to find a cure for Visual Snow Syndrome. To be able to change lives in an unimaginable way.

Please share, please donate. We need action now. #CureVSS #visualsnow #visualsnowsyndrome
