States with NO State Income Tax!!!! Tax Friendly States
Let’s talk about taxes, or at least states that don’t have an income tax.
In case you don’t know 9 US states don’t charge income tax. That is a good thing in most people’s opinion.
There are a lot of myths about this tax.
The first one is they are the poorest states. Not always. Four of the top 10 states with the strongest economic outlook do not charge an income tax.
The second myth is they don’t have any money to put into things the states need like schools, police, and infrastructure. Not always. But two states put the least amount per capita into schools and 1 does put the least in infrastructure and they are one of the states with the worst infrastructure grades.
The 3rd myth is if they don’t charge income tax they have higher taxes in other places, sometimes.
We won’t be getting too deep into this one, I’m not a tax man but I did talk to one for this video.
What I have learned is for most lower, middle-class, or blue-collar workers no state income tax can help a bunch. That being said, if you are thinking about moving to another state to lower your tax bill, talk to a tax professional.
