Professor 'cancelled' over arguing for merit-based university recruitments

A University of Chicago professor has been targeted by the "cancel mob" for arguing university recruitments should be based on merit rather than race or gender, says The Chicago Thinker’s co-founder Audrey Unverferth.

Ms Unverferth said Professor Dorian Abbot is an “esteemed geophysicist” who “just wants to do his science in peace”.

“But when the mob refused to let him, he fought back,” she told Sky News Australia.

“And so his lecture at MIT was cancelled recently due to the mob’s complaints but luckily Princeton University stepped up to host his lecture instead.

“And I and thousands of others will be at that lecture next week to cheer Professor Abbot on.”
