It's easier to sleep in and not gather with their like minded fellow christians. It can also be something like a church member who you may have a conflict with or you don't want to feel the conviction of the teachings knowing it will be uncomfortable for you.
Jesus said "don't forsake the assembling of yourselves together". There is a reason he taught that. Support for one another, teaching and fellowshipping together is a way to help each other in persecution and hard times.
