On The Newshour Agenda, with Padmaja Joshi, we discuss the champion paralympians who have scripted history and made the entire nation proud with their strong will and extraordinary skills. Today, we talk to two champions, Avni Lekhra, who brought home a gold medal in 10m air rifle standing at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics and Sumit Antil who won a gold medal in men's javelin throw F64 category at the Olympics. We also have with us Dr. Deepa Malik, an Indian athlete and the first Indian woman to win a medal in Paralympic Games and won a Silver medal at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in shot put. Dr. Malik also won gold in the F-53/54 Javelin event at the para athletic Grand Prix held in Dubai in 2018.
