Extended school closure will have adverse effects - Educationists

Educationists have reiterated the need for the immediate safe reopening of schools in hand with the vaccination of teachers and the non teaching staff.

They have warned that there may never be an appropriate time for the safe reopening of schools with the slow pace of the vaccination and any further delays could have far reaching repercussions for learners and the country.

The educationists advise the government to borrow a leaf from the neighbouring East African States on how schools have remained open there.
