Fire Department arriving to a basement fire in a dwelling

Early Sunday morning, Northampton County transmitted the box for the 100 block of Snow Hill Road for a basement fire sending Stations 45, 46, 42, 47 and Medic 49.

Chief 45 arrived and reported nothing showing from the front and went to investigate. Minutes later he radioed the dispatcher and told them he had a fire in the basement and ordered first-due Engine 45 (Allen Township) to stretch a line.

Truck 42 (Northampton Borough) arrived behind Engine 42 and assisted the Engine crew. Tanker 47 (Lehigh Twp.) positioned in front of Engine 45.

The initial hand line was never charged. A family member told Newsworking that wiring along a rafter caught fire.
