First EVER Enduro race went as expected. I’m chuffed that I finished pretty much in one piece, a few cuts and bruises. @tweedlovefest #valleylujah it was a cracking weekend on bikes. Thank you to @rollerben , we teamed up after the 1st stage and saw the day through, I’m looking forward to the next in a couple of weeks time!

Stage 1 - practice runs 0 - also forgot to open up my rear shock😫 I had a crash about 3/4 of the way down. I thought this knocked my bars squint but it was really only the mudguard so I spent the rest of the stage trying to compensate steer for no reason😭 this impacted my speed mega👎
Stage 2 - practice runs 2 - I had never been on track before - made the biggest mistake here. I thought I heard the next rider right on my tail, so I ACTUALLY STOPPED MID RACE!! WTF! I was so annoyed with myself. Losing 10-15 seconds just like that. Towards the end the, rider behind did eventually catch up, this diverted my attention to looking for a safe “passing place” causing me to lose concentration and crash. Another mistake made, had I continued I would have had enough time to finish the track and let him pass on the short fire road sprint between tracks🤦♂️ need to think about number 1 next time🏁
Stage 3 - practice runs 2 - unfamiliar again - rear shock left on closed as per usual😫. I think this may have contributed to my crash on this stage and I landed really nose heavy from a drop in to a berm and went crashing. Again shock being closed slowed my down on this track👎
Stage 4 - practice runs 1 - stage 4 was fire 🔥 I had a couple of corners here and there that I made small mistakes on. Other than that I had a great run. I caught up 1m40sec and overtook 3 riders on front. I gave this stage everything I had (wait until you see the video) I could have cried once this stage finished, my emotions were running crazy, I’ve never felt that way before🥵
Stage 5 - practice runs 0 - stage 5 comprised of 4 tracks linked together - had a fairly clean run down until the VERY VERY last corner, I took an outside line and ended up stopped my a tree about 3 metres from the finish line😭🌳
Main lesson learnt - I need to get fitter
