The Health Ministry will take on a more regulatory role in the future with a focus on organising and monitoring the provision of health services instead of its current role as a health service provider.
Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh also revealed that a new health insurance fund called Shifa (Arabic for healing) will be launched for Bahrainis in the future.
