Believe It or Not: A New Era for Japan

Believe It or Not: A New Era for Japan

July 6, 2021: Believe It or Not: A New Era for Japan

Even as many observers harbor doubts on Japan’s economic fortunes, there are several strong indicators that Japan may be embarking on a new era of economic prosperity. The combination of years of reforms, societal change, business necessity, and a generational change of the guards are putting Japan onto a very different trajectory — one that will also be different from other countries, and informative for how we balance prosperity, sustainability and business success. Join Ken Shibusawa, descendent of Japan’s famous business founder Eiichi Shibusawa (1840-1931), to learn about this new course for Japan's business and economy.

Speakers:
• Ken Shibusawa, CEO, Shibusawa and Company, Inc.
• Ulrike Schaede, Professor and Director of the Japan Forum for Innovation and Technology, GPS UC San Diego
